About
What this is
The Lobo Almanac is a maintained public reference for the municipality of Lobo, Batangas. It is written by someone from Lobo, it publishes only what has been checked, and it prints the date of the check next to the fact.
Why does this site exist?
Lobo is a coastal municipality of 41,251 people across 26 barangays, on one of the most biologically significant stretches of water in the world, and there is no reliable public reference for it. The practical questions people actually ask, what the jeepney costs and when the last one leaves, are answered online by posts written years ago and never revisited.
This is an attempt at the opposite: a small number of pages, each one accurate, each one re-checked on a schedule, growing slowly rather than launching complete.
How is anything verified?
By being there. Fares come from terminals and drivers. Coordinates come from a phone held at the location. Opening hours and fees come from the gate. Nothing is copied from another travel site, because the errors on those sites propagate and this project only has value if it breaks that chain.
Where something has not been checked yet, the page says pending. That is not a placeholder for a number we already know; it is a statement that we do not know it yet.
Who maintains it?
One person, from Lobo, with family land in the municipality. The standing commitment is one day a month verifying the transport table, plus roughly one new page a fortnight. Every one of those changes is recorded in the build log, dated, so the claim that this is maintained can be audited rather than taken on trust.
Is the site finished?
No, and it says so on the front page. This is Edition 0. The plan runs through the practical guides, the places, the Verde Island Passage record, and the agricultural calendar. Pages ship when they contain something real, not when the slot in the plan comes up.
Corrections and reuse
If a figure here is wrong, it should be corrected the same week. Reference data on this site is published under CC BY 4.0, so anyone may reuse the fares, the harvest months and the coordinates, with attribution back to lobo.com.ph. That is deliberate: the data is more useful spread than hoarded. Start with how to get to Lobo.
